Governor School Improvement Monitoring

The Governing Board plays a key role in setting the strategic direction and vision for the school. Governors contribute to the identification of yearly strategic priorities and the longer-term vision for the school. Impacts and progress against action plans for each strategic priority are monitored on a termly basis by governors, who provide written termly reports on their findings. Governors monitor progress and impacts through discussions with staff members, visits to school, speaking to children and receiving written information from staff. From September 2022 onwards, these governor reports will be recorded within the school's School improvement Plan (SIP) Monitoring Calendar.

At the end of each school year, the Governing Board holds a SIP Review session and considers the successes, challenges and next steps for each of that year's strategic priorities. The Board then provides feedback to the Senior Leadership Team on the outcomes of this session and this feedback informs the writing of the next year's SIP.

The minutes from previous SIP Review Sessions can be viewed below.
