About the School

St Martin’s C of E Primary School is set within large grounds that include our own wood in which we run our forest school. We have a nursery – St Martin’s Fledglings – that children can join during the term in which they become three years old (Click here to download our Nursery Flyer). The nursery forms part of our Foundation Unit which has its own secure outdoor area; this means that all Foundation Stage children have free flow access between the indoors and the outdoors throughout the day.

We have access to Apple technology throughout the school; the children use iPads to enrich their learning in many areas of the curriculum. We have a large hall which is used for Collective Worship, Lunch and Physical Education. We also have a studio for music, dance and drama, a food and technology room, a library and a meeting room which provides a place for families to meet with school staff and other professionals. We see our school as being central to the new community of Cranbrook and are keen to encourage use of the school by the local community.
